Long overdue update.

Well, it’s been almost half a year since my last update! To be fair, I have not exactly been making much art either but I have been working on a lot of things related to art. The main big ticket item that I have been working on these past months is that my father and law and I have been building a new studio room! At least 3 of these past months were dedicated to drywalling and building. Here is picture of my new space!

As you can see, I have my drawing table on the right. In the middle is where I plan on doing any painting (I will need a drop cloth and easel for that!) and the back is obviously the computer and later on where I will be working on my electronic music production.

What is this stuff on the table? Actually I have plans for it. Found object sculpture combined with drawing and painting. Luckily my studio is right next to the garage where I have a lot of tools available to work on this project.

I’m pretty excited for what I have planned. On that note, I have a new article that was just published at https://canvasrebel.com/meet-benjamin-ladieu/. I go in to details here about my sudden change in direction as far as my art is concerned. It’s a big shift of focus to be sure.

Finally, I have been trying to get a sales campaign going for my last series and have had a few setbacks trying to make it happen but I still plan on having a sale soon so be on the lookout for that!
